The PURE D-16W/12VDC is the compact 12-volt variant of the PURE D immersion system series by UST Umwelt-Systemtechnik GmbH, Gera. With 16 W UV-C power and a short 385 mm immersion tube, it is particularly suited for smaller tanks and off-grid installations with 12 V supply, such as caravans, solar systems, yachts, or small storage tanks.

The low-pressure mercury lamp emits UV-C radiation at 254 nm, permanently damaging the DNA of bacteria, viruses, algae, and other microorganisms. Pathogens are inactivated and can no longer reproduce. The electronic IP65 ballast is wall-mounted outside the water and connected to the immersion tube via the supplied lamp cable.

The system operates without chemicals, leaves no residues, and does not alter the taste or odour of the water. The IP65 protection rating of the ballast ensures safe operation even in humid environments.

Maintenance

Replace the UV lamp after a maximum of 8,000 operating hours. The lamp can be easily replaced by loosening screws and then pulling it out.
