The PURE D-16W/24VDC is a compact UV-C immersion system for continuous disinfection of water in smaller tanks and reservoirs. Manufactured by UST Umwelt-Systemtechnik GmbH in Gera, Germany, it runs on 24 VDC, making it well suited for off-grid applications such as caravans, solar systems, and small storage tanks.

The low-pressure mercury lamp emits UV-C radiation at 254 nm, permanently damaging the DNA of bacteria, viruses, algae, and other microorganisms. The compact 385 mm immersion tube enables use in shallower containers. The electronic IP65 ballast is wall-mounted outside the water and connected via the supplied lamp cable.

The system operates without chemicals, leaves no residues, and does not alter the taste or odour of the water.

Maintenance

Replace the UV lamp after a maximum of 8,000 operating hours. The lamp can be easily replaced by loosening screws and then pulling it out.
